No doubt the eyes carry most photographs. you really capitalized on this with the color without overdoing it. Your beard is getting its start and most guys go through this stage. Ask "what does it add to my goal?" A slight trim of the wild hairs only would begin to add a more professional look.
Try not to center your main target - 2 lines across dividing it into 3rds. same vertically. where those 4 lines cross are your photo hot spots and putting your target over one of them will add a different life to your composition.
Remember, as much as possible, everything in the shot should be there for a reason that adds to the picture.
